Baan Chang Nag is a weekend holiday home in the Mae Rim District of Chiang Mai, designed to incorporate elements of the traditional Chiang Mai style in its layout and the overall architectural form. Though the interior is modern, traditional local products are used extensively for the décor.

Baan Chang Nag is a one-bedroom house of modest proportions. The owner has renovated two small, hundred-year-old rice barns behind it. These have been rebuilt by the owner and adapted into guest quarters. Their traditional Thai style has been retained as much as possible, such as the elevated wooden structure.

Placement of the three buildings also corresponds with the layout of a traditional Thai village, which features several buildings grouped around a common multipurpose area.

A lotus pond occupies the heart of the compound, making the house a lush, verdant oasis throughout the year.
