King Power Complex’s second branch in Pattaya was designed with a modern Thai architecture concept. The total GFA is approximately 12,000 square meters, consisting of a 3-storey duty free mall with underground parking for 52 cars.

Following the same architectural narrative as its headquarters in Bangkok, a simple and elegant character was created using fine materials for both interior and exterior.

Set back more than 50 meters from the main road (Bangkok - Chonburi), the front lawn was thus opened for multipurpose activities. This was originally intended to be a reflecting pond but was modified to suit the budget, maximizing functionality and minimizing overhead.

A unique feature is its front façade with diagonal weaving pattern, made from steel plates with gold PU coating. The pattern also corresponds with the design of the headquarters’ Crown Atrium in Bangkok, which has now become a landmark and conveys corporate identity through architecture.

The diamond-shape quadrangle structure was influenced by the patterns in Thai handicrafts, gold ornaments and traditional architecture. Between the diamond-shape quadrangle structure, there are stainless steel plates, which reflect sunlight, replicating the sparkle of silver and gold threads in traditional Thai silk.

In addition to the unique character of the building, Pattaya King Power Complex also received a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certificate from the U.S. Green Building Council (USCBC) through the use of sustainable materials, efficient mechanical system, facility management and waste management, allowing the building to conserve energy and resources. These investments reflect King Power’s objective to develop sustainable projects with deep responsibility toward the local community.
